What is the secret to your magic Stain & Odour Remover?

Well, it's actually not a secret because we are open about what we put into our products.  It's part of our transparency policy.
 
The not so secret ingredient is our powder Trisodium Hydrogendicarbonate that is a double salt of sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate and has a needle-like crystal structure that dissolves readily in hot or cold water.
 
It's MAGIC as a stain & odour remover, water and fabric softener and laundry detergent enhancer.
 
Our powder is made from trona which is a mined mineral, supplied by mother nature - thanks Mum!

Are the ingredients you use safe?

All of the ingredients are selected to ensure they are safe for you, your family and the environment.  It's our NO nasty policy!
 
Our ingredients must all comply with our NO nasty policy criteria:  No health risks, no harmful environmental impact & no animal testing or animal products.
 
We list our ingredients on our packaging and website to comply with our YES transparent policy!

Can I use your products to clean period undies and cloth pads?

Our Bloody Awesome range are perfectly suited to clean reusable cloth pads and period undies.  Our Bloody Awesome range are magic on blood, vaginal discharge and poo!  Use our Stain Remover Powder as a soaker or directly on blood stains to keep your cloth pads and period undies stain free.  Even if you cannot see the stains due to the colour of your cloth pads or period undies you can be confident that they are effectively cleaned when using the Bloody Awesome range.

Can I use the Stain & Odour Remover Powder in cold water?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our stain & odour remover works in cold water.
 
However, check our Tips & Tricks page to make the magic happen by using the correct water temperature for the stain you are treating.
 
E.g. If you use hot water for blood you may need a miracle instead of magic to remove the stain.  Hot water will set the stain, so hope you like the colour red!😆

Where are the products made?

We are an Australian Company with an office in Melbourne and all our manufacturing in our facility in Cambridge, Tasmania.
 
The Stain & Odour Remover Powder is packed by our MAGIC TEAM in Cambridge from imported ingredients as it is not made anywhere in Australia.
 
Our soaps are hand-made, hand-cut and packed in Cambridge.   We use a cold process method to produce our soaps - saponification; no milling,  so we control every ingredient right down to the base oils that we use.  We list every ingredient in every product on the packaging.

Are your products safe for my septic and greywater systems?

Accepted Answer

Our Stain & Odour Remover is actually Septic Positive+.  As it's an alkaline it can actually help balance the pH of a septic system.
 
For greywater the small amount of sodium should have very little impact.  However, be aware that our product is still a sodium based product.  We would advise that you test your greywater intermittently, especially if you live in a drier climate with less rainfall where salt build-up can be more prone to occur.

Can I use the Stain Remover Powder for more than stain removal?

Accepted Answer

Well, it really is MAGIC powder.
 
Make it into a spray and use it to wipe away the oil and grease from the exhaust fan above your stove.  You can also use it as a soaker for the aluminium vents to remove all the fat and oil.  Add it to your dishwasher on a hot cycle to clean out residue fat and oil.
 
If a septic system is too acidic then you can add our Trisodium Hydrogendicarbonate to adjust the pH due to its alkalinity.  Always test the pH of your system and check with the manufacturer before adding our powder.
 
In areas with HARD WATER you can add our Trisodium Hydrogendicarbonate as a water softener.  This will help improve the efficacy of your laundry detergent, so you can use less, save money and add less washing product into the environment.

What is so different about your Tuffy Dish Bar?

The Tuffy Dish Bar unlike other dish bars has 3 added ingredients to make it magic for cleaning dishes.

1. Added Trisodium Hydrogendicarbonate, (All Natural) to enhance its power to cut through grease, fat and oil.

2. Added Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate as added foamer for sink washing. Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is derived from coconuts.

3. Added Perlite (Certified Organic) to act as a mild scourer.... helps polish glassware too!

Simply creating a dish bar was not enough for us, so we work hard on formulating a dish bar that we want to have in our kitchen... and we made it!

What packaging do you use for your products?

Accepted Answer

All our soap bars are packaged in recyclable boxes that are made from FSC certified paper. Simply throw them in your council recycle bin.

The Tuffy tags can also be recycled and the natural rubber bands,(GECA Certified) can be composted.
 
The Stain & Odour Remover Powder is packaged in a HOME compostable pouch. This pouch can be composted at home or with your local council where available. Australian Certified Home Compostable AS 5810.

Are your laundry products safe to use on baby clothing and for those with sensitivities?

Yes, our Bloody Awesome fragrance free laundry range is suitable for baby clothing and reusable nappies.  If you suffer from allergies and have sensitivities we have made both our Stain & Odour Remover Powder and Laundry Soap bar available fragrance free.
